The Human Resources Management major is offered as a specialization for the Bachelor of Business Administration program and will prepare students for a career in human resource management or general management.

The Human Resource major is designed provide students with specialist knowledge and skills to support organizations in building their business. This major provides the knowledge and competencies for a successful career in the human resources, general management, or further graduate studies.
The Human Resources Management major will help students develop specific knowledge and competencies required by business professionals with a focus on key people processes that include recruiting, training, performance management, rewards, labour, and employee relations.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this major will be prepared for careers such as Line Managers, Department Heads, Executives, Human Resource Managers, Internal Specialists, External Consultants, Talent Management, and Recruiters.
Additional Professional Designations
Students in the Human Resources Management major will be prepared to pursue the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation upon graduation. CPHR is a nationally recognized level of achievement within the field of human resources. There are currently more than 27,000 HR professionals holding the CPHR designation.
